Begin your day with a drive to the BC Ferries terminal to board your 90-minute cruise across the Strait of Georgia from Vancouver’s Mainland to Vancouver Island. From the ferry, tour to The Butchart Gardens, a National Historic Site of Canada. It features over 22 hectares (55 acres) of meticulously manicured floral beauty that change with the seasons. Leaving the garden, it is off to explore the majestic Victoria Inner Harbour to take in the historic sights of this capital city, named after British monarch Queen Victoria. Cross Capilano Canyon on the iconic suspension footbridge high above the riverbed. Next stop, the Capilano River Hatchery to learn about the salmon lifecycle and view the fish ladders used by the leaping Salmon on their way to their spawning grounds.
Then it is time for a new adventure further up the mountain. Soar above the clouds on the Grouse Mountain Skyride to a mountaintop playground of panoramic views, activities, and wildlife refuge home to orphaned Grizzly bears, owls and more. All our Guided Tours offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off at all Rocky Mountaineer partner hotels, as well as most others in downtown Vancouver. Pick up locations do not include the Vancouver International Airport, however with prior notification, our Vancouver City + The Lookout tour can accommodate your luggage on the bus and can drop you at the airport at the end of the tour. All other tours do not have luggage capacity, nor offer a drop off at the airport.
