Beyond the original bridge spanning 137 thrilling metres (450 feet) across the breathtaking Capilano River, do the adrenaline-pumping Cliffwalk along a granite precipice and labyrinth of suspended bridges, stairs and platforms. The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s Treetops Adventure takes you on a journey high above the forest floor with footbridges connecting seven brilliantly engineered viewing platforms to 1,300 year-old Douglas Fir trees. Did you know?

  • The bridges and viewing platforms at the Treetops Adventure use a unique compression system and do not need to be bolted or nailed to the trees.
  • The bridge was originally built in 1889 out of hemp ropes with a deck of cedar planks. The ropes were replaced with a wire cable bridge in 1903.
