See the lifecycle of the west coast’s signature fish firsthand at this popular self-guided hatchery interpretive centre, complete with an aquaria and observation gallery. Visiting late August through November? Lucky you! Watch returning salmon leaping up the river in the “Fishway” fish ladder during this prime-time spawning season. You can also take a walk on the easy-access hiking trails weaving through the Capilano River Regional Park or enjoy your lunch in the peaceful picnic area.
